Default Servo installed...how should it feel?

Got the vette servo installed...I feels like maybe it shifts firmer/harder than my x-cab did. I personally like it but just wondering if it was right. Its actually on the verge on barking the tires from 1-2 and the 2-3 feels firmer too. Like i said, i like it just wondering if that is right.

Another weird thing...i really don't know how to describe it. I was out test drivin it, i put it in 1st, town haul on, stalled her up and away we go. When it was time to shift i threw it into 2nd and this is where it felt weird. it kind of felt like it just shut off...like maybe it hit the rev limiter for a split second. any ideas?

yeh a little faster/firmer is what it does. Did you replace the fluid you lost?

I guess it depends on the truck. I put one in a friends truck and it shifted hard but in mine it wasnt too bad just a little firmer.

I installed mine the other night...Now it shifts hard and fast (real hard) 1 to 2 and 2 to 3..
Actually right when it shift from 2nd to 3rd i hear this little squeal/squeak and no it's not the belt it's in the trany..I am really impressed with what a $12.00 mod can do..Just took the old lady for a ride and she started screaming "stop your gonna give me a panic attack" I'm like, shut and and hold on

ummm thats not good to have squealing in the tranny...doesn't that mean the band is slipping or something like that? or the pin is rubbing against it?

thats what i'm thinking....it started way before i installed the servo ..it started one night when i had a few beers in me and i forgot to shift out of first and kind of over stretched the trany...that was the first time i remember hearing it....should have installed the servo sooner bc with out it my shifts would slide into the next gear

I've done that a couple of times hit the rev limiter ...sounds like what you did...I know from experience on a stock tune it really falls on it face like fuel has been cut off.

I agree...you probably tapped the rev limiter causing it to have that "brick wall" feel. Its horrible on a stock or close to stock tune.
