Is this a gm aftermarket only or is it used in some vehicles?

Lock up also is softer with this new valve which I find to be the opposite of what I thought would happen. I’m going to leave it alone and keep putting miles on it. If I can keep it together, I’ll turn up the power to see if it’ll break 700 wheel.

Wonder if it lives up to their hype? "The SuperMatic 4L75-E is the size of the 4L65-E transmission, but offers the torque capacity of the 4L80-E, making it the flexible alternative to the 4L80-E when big power is needed in a tight space."

Would be nice, if true! The price really isn't bad for a brand new, what should be high quality, transmission...straight from GM.

Hell it actually gives me some hope towards my idea of supercharging the SS - I didn't want to go through a 4L80E swap, particularly from the stuff I've seen about problems that can come up with the tune in relation to the trans swap. Would be nice to tune just for the supercharger and know that the trans isn't going to be complicating the issue.

75e still has the same diameter weak input and output shafts.

Same shafts, but with OE quality control you actually get what you pay for. I find too much variability in the aftermarket. An engine or trans builder could build one badass unit, enough to bring in 10 more customers, but out of those only two might get the same quality unit they are expecting. Part strength notwithstanding, I'd take the GM 75e before any aftermarket builder's product.

Bingo. I have thousands!!!! Into this unit. Thousands above the price of the new gm unit.

I’ve pondered about making a deal with Transbuilderguy about taking this 60 toward an 80 of his but again it’s held up lately. I’ll continue to put miles on it and I’ll be racing this spring and summer a lot more. I even talked to him about buying a Stock replacement as a back up or de mod process.

I am saying for a heavy truck with a lot of power I don’t care what GM claims, a 80e has the advantage. I am not bias due to fairlure, I still have my fully built 65e in a crate. Was working fine when I pulled it.
