Default Second Thoughts: 2nd gear slip = Bad T/C maybe?

Ive been thinking my trans is blown again, but im starting to have second thoughts and need some help here before i get it rebuilt. Lets say im doing around 50mph and lay it to the floor, it shifts down the 2nd gear right? Well when i hit 4K rpms in 2nd gear the trans starts slipping, then when it hits 5K rpm it catches. Sounds like 2nd hear is going out to me. Well here is what has got me wondering, lets say i punch it from a dead stop, or even a 25mph roll where it will start or drop down into first. 2nd gear does not slip when I do this. Im really confused about this, any input guys? I wasnt thinking maybe my T/C could be going out? Im kinda hoping this is the case considering i have a stall converter laying in my shop. My luck its something serious though

Mine is doing the exact same thing, right to the "T". A bad T/C would be nice!
