Default RST differential help

The rear end on my truck blew up, pretty much. It's an 04 Chevy 1500 RST. So I need a new carrier, the teeth in mine are all destroyed. I'm going with the Detroit TruTrac. 8.5" 30 spline. Is that the right one? Also would 4.10 gears be good with my truck? What else do I need and is there anything special I need to do? As far as I know I just bolt it all in there fill it with fluid and go. Minus the tune for the gear ratios but I can get that done. Someone please let me know, thanks.
Also does anybody know the torque specs?

Posted this on the Ford section on accident, put in the right spot.

There is ALOT more involved in a gear swap then just swaping them out. Pinion depth, bearing preload, backlash, and gear pattern all need to be checked.

You can just swap them out, but your more then likely going to have some horrible gear whine.

Don't forget to get a bearing kit or install kit with the gears.
