Nice, ride any better now that it isn't resting on bumpstops?

It wasn't resting on them but the new ones are a little bit shorter than the trimmed ones I had, so I gained a little more travel and it does feel better.

I took the truck over a big dip on the freeway that I usually avoid because it would bottom out, but with the new ones it's cushioned better and doesn't hit as hard now (most likely I was hitting the metal part on the stock bump stops)

Good deal. I sit on mine. Can't wait to slap them on along with my new rear shocks. Possibly stock spindles too until I tub the front. #Poorpeopleproblems

Edit: I ran out and picked up some from local Advanced Auto ( energy suspension P/N 9.9101g) 2 1/8 in. H x 2 in. dia. i cut an 1" off then installed them truck is riding a LOT nicer now but i think i'm going to look in to getting a softer pair to see if I can get it a touch better

this is a must do if you run drop springs up front

man i came to this section to find out how to make my truck ride better and i;'m going to give this a try i get a lot of bump steer and ride quality is horrible just checked my truck and i'm riding on the the stops heading out to the local auto part store to see if they have any

Should ride much better after those additions (just getting off the stops makes a huge difference)!

I would recommend the belltech's linked earlier, they are foam which will be softer than poly (imo you shouldn't run poly for a bump stop not enough give), they are progressive (gets firmer w/more compression) to give a good cushion, and 1.26" so you don't have to trim them.

the wife and I went out for a movie put about 20 miles on the truck bump steer is gone and i'm not coming out of my seat any more day and night difference still a little to harsh for my liking but its going in the right direction looking in to shocks now and I'm going to order the belltech's I just had to give it a try I was pretty sick of the ride and for $14 and 15 minutes i'm glade i gave it a shot plus the truck is sitting lower in the front about a 1/2"

I used the Hotchkis 2" lowering springs in the front. They came with a v-shaped rubber bump stop that replaces the stock rectangle one with metal around it. It is shorter by about an inch and v shaped. Bolt in deal. If you want a picute of this send me a pm.
