Default Reverse lights not working

Where is the switch for this? In the steering column or in the trans? Or is it just a blown fuse?

The switch is located on the gear selector shaft on the transmission. If you replace it take a heat gun to the weatherpack connectors for a few seconds. I did not when I took my trans out and I ended up buying a $50 switch from the dealer.

Check the bulbs and fuses first. The two wires that make the lights light up when the switch (electronic thingy) is in reverse are a pink and a green. There's more than one pink I believe, but you could back probe them to test the switch to see if it's completing the circuit.
