that round one?? I've never seen glue on that one. I'm talking about the plug(s) on the driver side NSS... those are usually the ones getting broken.

ohhh...I haven't seen that plug yet. The one on the NSS on the drivers side is the one you have to heat up?

Yes, there are two plugs on the drivers side. GM puts some eletric grease crap in there that turns to superglue after awhile. If you heat it up a little it gets gooey and you can pull the plugs without ripping them to ****. I had to replace mine becuase after about the 3rd trans they were torn up from pliers and screwdrivers tearing them apart over and over.

a 15mm gear wrench is a great tool to have, also the 13mm to get the nuts off the bellhousing bolts, I never replace the 13mm nuts, they are way more trouble than they are worth... I have a "little" experience helping white1 1 or 7 times, plus the motor install for touchofevil04's truck

the gear wrench is a great tip.... a stubby gear wrench would be even better for the bellhousing bolts at the 2 o'clock and 10 o'clock positions.

-just a question while we're on the topic.... what does everyone use to get the cross-member out?? I normally just use a box end wrench and an impact gun.

theres another way to do it? i flipped the bolts around to the opposite direction on the passenger side to make it easier next time you need to drop the X member
