Default Reluctor ring location? 4l60e

Where is the location of the speedometer ring on a 2001 gmc 1500 4l60e with autotrac 4x4? I'm thinking transfer case tail, or is it in the transmission tail and the truck compensates the signal when you put it in 4low?

Reason for asking is I'm swapping in a 5 speed getrag and i want to keep factory gauges correct.

That's what I'm leaning towards too, so what are these wires coming from the passenger side of the 4l60 do? I'm talking about the round connector that pushes straight down into the transmission.

I'm hacking all the unnecessary wires from my engine/transmission harness minus the senders to run the instrument panel to keep myself from putting another gasser engine and 4l60 in my truck.

Just seen that last response, anyway i tore into the autotrac transfer case and dug out the rear most reluctor ring and the two sensor which sit along the sides of it. Since I have no use for the autotrac anymore i left the front ring alone.

Why do i have two sensors for the rear ring? is one for speed and the other for the autotrac comparison in relation to the fwd sensor?

My plan is to either find room in the NP205 tail for this ring or to have the center machined out to slide over the driveshaft yoke for a sort of external mounted speedo sensor.
