Default Rebuild trouble!!!

I'm going back together with my tranny and I'm having trouble with the 4 solid teflon oil seal rings that go on the input housing shaft. I put them on last night and they were really loose, so I just waited 'til this morning to finnish assembling hoping that they would shrink some but that didn't work so I just tried sliding the pump on and tore the frst ring so now I have to wait annd get some new ones. Is there a trick to installing these seals so they don't stretch out so much or s there a way to shrink them back down??

there is a tool you need to put over those seals and shrink them down and resize them

Theres actualtty a tool to resize them however in its absence you can cut a peice of rubber heater hose down the side. slip it over the seals then use 4 hose clamps in the positions they are and tighten them . Let them set a while near a heat source makes ot happen faster and this will resize them. Its a little back yard way of doing things but it works
