Default Rear Sway Bar - Hellwig vs Addco

So is a Hellwig bar worth about $100 more than an Addco unit? The Hellwig is 1/8" bigger and 4140 Chrome Moly.

Do they aid in traction? What do they do that the stocks don't?

Doubt they aide in traction. I do not have a rear sway bar.

Edit: Might help with axle wrap.

Don't know about Addco but a rear Beltech would not clear my Mag-Hytec diff cover. The Hellwig will clear the cover and also clear my Corsa exhaust pipe.
And the sway bar really helps with body sway around curves. Worth it to me. I could tell a big difference.

Dont have a Hellwig but, i do have a Addco rear sway bar, really easy install took me like 30 minutes, really helps just makes your truck feel real stable around corners and while driving on the HWY a very good upgrade, i would recommend it

Thanks for the input guys. I'm sold on a rear bar. Been to long coming. Just bought a Hellwig. The Hellwig would have to be stiffer. May replace the front at some time.

You say it made it "feel more stable", was there an actual difference in performance cornering wise? Like were sharper curves able to be taken quicker wih more control? Not just feeling more scure?

I haven't had one and am just trying to gauge the actual difference, thanks.

My truck without a sway bar is damn near perfect actually. Neutral. No oversteer or understeer. Yeah it leans but go into a corner hard and neither end will get loose just a good predictable 4 wheel drift. Hoping the sway bar doesn't put an over steer into it.

^^^yeah really notacible when cornering @ high speed curve going around 50-60mph feels better alot less body roll, iam actually thinking of buying a front sway bar just to get the best out of it
