Have a air hammer and lots of PB blaster ready if you live in the north with salt as removing some of the bolts can suck.

Having the bed off makes things quicker too.

I don't torque anything because I just use my impacts LOL. Final assembly on the hangers and shackles needs to be done with the weight of the vehicle on the ground too. You do not want to tighten the long shackle bolts with the bushings while it's in the air.

Luckily it's a Florida truck so no rust. Whoever had it before me must of lived on a dirt road. It's been caked with dirt and all the rubber bushings everywhere worn out. The rear is the last to get done. I have the use of a lift so that should help out. When tightening main spring bolts should the brackets bend in torwards the spring bushings. It looks like they have been over torqued to me.

You didn't mention the Year but you likely have to drop the tank to get the bolt out on the front of the driver side leaf spring.

It’s a 03. It took a little patience but I got it without dropping the tank. I also found it a little easier to drill around the bushing then use a air hammer to get the metal sleeve out of the spring. It wasn’t too bad of a job, don’t want to do it again though lol

I used a sawzall to cut the head off and pulled it out. I already had a bolt/nut and just threaded it in reverse.

Fk GM on that one.
