Some have, and some blow up... Every truck/shaft isn't the same. He just doesn't want to chance it with a stocker, this accident probably put a hurtin on his wallet.
How many transmissions do we need to go through before we say the stock shaft won't hold up? Not worth it.

I set it -2.5* to -3* in relation to the truck being level on the shop floor with an angle meter. I leveled the pinion yoke, losened the u bolts brought it down, leveled the yoke again, and measured until it was right at -3*. so its 3* in relation to the ground. I have shimmed the tie bolt on the leaf springs so I can run a 1-2* shim to move it if I need to.
