Default Rear shock question

My truck is in sig, 2/4 drop with 2" hangars and shackles in the rear. I installed 6* pinion angle shims to get a -1* pinion angle, but in doing so, the driver side shock is now more compressed than the passenger side. It's about 1.5-2" more compressed. Has anyone put a shorter shock on the driver side in this situation?

It rides fine and it will bottom out on the bump stop way before bottoming out the shock. Only issue is the Chevy lean The left rear sits about 1" lower than the right rear, even with no fuel or driver.

Yes, I just put them on yesterday. A blown shock wouldn't change it's installed length.

Sounds like the normal chevy lean left. I adjusted my 4-link height an extra hole to get rid of the lean and level it out. Hasn't seemed to affect my launch any.

My main question was about the shock length. Should I be using a shorter one on the left side? The pinion angle shims rotate the axle such that the left rear shock is compressed more than the right.

As for the lean, I might just raise the left rear with the shackle

haha i just did the same on my truck but did 8* shims for -4* and I'm having the same problem my truck also has chevy lean now i think i might just put the bolt in the lower shackle hole to adjust. as far as the shock id just leave it IMO.

I'd just leave it...

but, you could cut the perch and extend it or cut the entire thing off, rotate, and reweld it. Or you could buy a set of shock extenders and only use one on the left side.
