I have to get mine replaced about every 10-12K miles.
Front end locks right up on mine....
Seems to be inherent with 99's. My co-workers got a 2000, and he hasnt had any bearing issues.

Last week i took it another shop, "they said" i need to replace the bushing that goes around the yoke that meets up with the seal. Possible thats the case with yours. If you get it figured out. PLEASE let me know.
