Default rear end housing

i have a 2000 silverado and the housing has disc brakes and i was wonderin if i could swap housings out of a 05..i hear that it wont work like its 2 wide or sumthin like that..i know the new ones have drum brakes im not worried about that just want to know if it will bolt up

why do you want drums over disks? the rear ends are the same

b/c my housing is all twisted and my buddy has an extra one but its drums soo ill prob get his...will the brake lines go right in or am i gonn have to get diffrent ones?

with some bending they should go.
