I'm gunna order a new rear end cover, but i just want to make sure i'm getting the correct one. All the sites say for 8.5....I just want to make sure it'll fit the 8.6

I am almost 100% sure they are the same. The only differences between the 2 rears besides the size of the ring gear, is the carrier bearings are different. Everything else is the same. Maybe somone else will chime in on this.

 

As far as the diff cover. 8.5 or 8.6 WILL work.
