Default Question about 3/4 drop

I have an 02 Gmc Sierra RcSb, I am in the process of buying a belltech 3/4 drop kit and was wondering if there is any modifications i need to do when i drop the truck. For example ( no frame cutting etc. )

Thanks

No notch, but you will want to get some drop shocks for the front and rear and you will need shorter bump stops in the rear and i believe that you need to trim the front bumpstop down a little bit.

If you do any towing or hauling you will want to either notch your frame or add rear air bags to keep the axle from banging the frame. Other wise no modifications. Did you get front spindles or springs?

If you got spindles you have some work ahead of you removing the stock ball joints from the lower control arm.

I would buy the kit in Separate parts... get the 3" drop coils and get the 6" Flip kit for the rear, get some Good drop shocks too. You will get a way worse ride with the 4" than a 6" flip kit, plus the hangers are a pain to install. Go with the flip kit and c-notch and thank me later.

a 3/4 drop won't even be close to level... more like a hotrod look.

That would be a negative, running no bumpstops is never a good idea, that is unless you like to hear metal to metal contact.

And yeah like Chris said if you want to level it out dont go with the 3/4 it will have a very noticable rake to it. If you want it level go with a 3/6 (you will have to notch with this).

I would put a notch with a 4" - Mine only had 1 1/4" clearance and I had 1" bumpstops. Not a big deal, Consider yourself warned. (about bottoming out)

You can remove the bumpstops if the coil is stiff enough to keep you from bottoming out. I had to take out my bumpstops b/c after i installed the coils, my arms were squishing the bumpstops just sitting there. I took them out and still never bottom out.

and for the rear, just cut the stock bumpstops in half, or get a c-notch with the pancake bumpstop.
