Default Project 94 1/2 ton Auto Cross Truck what Transmission?

I've been reading more forum posts than I can count trying to figure out what transmission I should go with on my 94 Chevy SB. The foundation is about complete with a new 4 link in back and a 9" rear with Baer brakes all around and upgraded swing arms, trying to get the wet weight between 3500 to 3900 lbs etc..... but now is the time to make this thing go. I have a L92 which I'm having some work done and hopefully produce something around the 500 RWHP range. I have yet to get the wire harness and computer but was probably going to source that from Turn Key in Nevada. I was hoping to run a TCI Outlaw shifter with the electronic shifting capability but that is not an absolute necessity. In terms of space being an issue I am moving the firewall back 5" anyway so that's so much of an issue. What I would like to have is a set up that allows me have some fun attend a few auto cross events from time to time but also head out to Vegas and not be killed by the MPG's on the way, hopefully getting mid to low 2000 rpms in top gear. So the question remains what transmission would be a good option that would not be a huge nightmare in terms of the electronic package communicating properly and be stout enough to handle the HP numbers. I've jumped from a 700r4, to a 4l60e to a 6l80e or 6l90e. Any suggestions would be great and if you have a baseline gearing suggestion please share, the rear tires are 30"
