Trust me, it only costs me a little power off the line but, the stall works great for my application...
But truck is setup for power from a roll, I don't really drag race...

ok upon closer inspection the trans usually sits between 140 and 170....probably about 160-5 when in the city stop light to stop light may barely hit 170 but once i get on the freeway i can see the needle fall to about 140-5ish. havent seen it cross the 170 barrier yet but i havent brake stalled it for a launch or run it really hard either. not to mention the temps down here were about 88*....i might have to invest in a fan as well and tap into my current gauge but judging from all this it still seems to be sitting at the norm...anyone been able to dig up that chart with gasket decomposition and tranny failure temps?

on the tech 2 mine runs pulling a car trailer with a vette on it was around 190 if u use like the bte r b&m trans fluid it will last a lot longer and the brakedown temp is a lot higher.
we did the test with 2 power gliudes and after 100 pass the one with bte fluid still looked brand new the other needed a rebuild

Mine sits at 150 all the time but goes up to 160-165 tops when it is hot and I am hard on the truck. I need to get some better fluid and another cooler, I am always worried about the temps and I have a 3400 stall on the way.

cheers nightmare, yea your temps will definitly increase with the 3400, ive got such a jumble of transmissio n components right up front id have to have a lot of hose and another loocation for a second aftermarket cooler. i have stock cooler, perma cool, then remote filter so i do have the luxery of 7qts of fluid in the entire system but its still warm!
