Default Power Steering Issue

2005 2500hd 4x4. Just replaced the power steering pump because one of the lines coming off the old pump had a hole in it. Even with the new pump on, its still leaking some fluid. My buddy that swapped the pump for me said this was because I have hydroboost brakes that run off the pump, and theres a bunch of air in the lines. Apparently it should be fine in a couple of days. I just got home and drove around the block a few times, and it appears to have leaked some out just from that short jaunt around the neighborhood. Thoughts? Suggestions?

i have an hd, any leak in the system isnt good. its not hard to bleed the air out of it. sounds like something isnt tight or maybe an old line is still leaking. i know the return line is only held on by a small weak clamp.

The leak ended up being the fitting on top of the steering column
