Whats up guys. Is it possible to bolt on a 350 transmission to a 5.3 engine?

 

i would say so, i mean i know a guy that had a 99 f-body with an ls1 with a turbo 400 in it. im sure they make a kit for it , even though the 350's are cheaper to buy/biuld genrally , i think that the 4l60e is the tranny to go with for a budget, being its already electronicly controlled , and there very plentiful. i would do a search for a company that either makes electronically controlled turbo 350's and adapter bellhousings maybee?

 

So I take it you need an electronic transmission? Or does a non electronic 350 work?

The thing is that I am trying to put a 5.3 in my 3rd gen camaro. The carburated 350 went out and I have just enough money to put in a 5.3, thats why for the meanwhile I would have to run the 350 transmission.

 

Would have to vaccum reference it but thats not a big deal.

 

Sweet, now I only need to get the 5.3.
