Default Which Posi?

I was looking at Eaton Posi's and I was wondering which rear end i have. That and what gear to go with on that posi.

You should have the 8.6 rear end. The eaton that you need is the 8.5. The diff just uses a different bearing to make a 8.6 from what i was told. I put the eaton in my truck a it is the . Go with the 4.10s in the rear if your looking for more power out of her.

Yeah, 4:10's will make a good performance gear but it really depends on what you're looking for. The eaton unit is very popular here and really durable piece.

i just put in a detroit true trac after i grenaded my G-80 . Seems like a well built unit and is working great so far.

How hard is install?? Like is it something I can do in my drive way with a jack or do i need a drivetrain shop??

Go to Pyle Bros. in Baytown or call and talk to Chance...a little on the high side but they do excellent work...
