I have had a few shafts made, and they always want a measurement specific to your vehicle (At least at Denny's they do). After thinking about it, I would rather have a shaft made specifically for me. If they made a universal shaft, it would more than likely run on the short side so that it fit everything. Plus you know it is balanced to your driving speed. I am sure someone will make it that way for you if you look hard enough.

Why not have one made by a local shop? I had (both) mine done by a driveline shop. I went with 3 1/2 inch steel. One had a little vibration so I took it in for rebalancing. They changed my transfer case seals at the same time, free of charge. You don't get service like that through the mail.

I never found an off the shelf product but the measurements are easy to take and I really liked being able to choose the material, diameter and yoke size myself.
