I have the B&M cooler that has female 1/2 ports and was wanting to adapt them to the auxilary cooler or possibly run it in series with it. I was hoping to be able to get some fittings for a bolt on install instead of cutting the lines.
Would you remember of by hand what they are?
Thanks and sorry for the hijack but hope it helps the OP too

Bringing this back up to the top for info and links (via PM please if not forum sponsors
)
Curious is anyone has found the fittings that go into the cooler itself yet, or if just a threaded fitting of the proper pitch and size thread will work...

Most people run the -6 size, I did. They make fitting that go to the hard lines, I cant remember if its 5/16 or 3/8 though... I went through my factory radiator and just cut the flare off, and used those to get onto those lines and on to the -6

Thanks man, -6 AN was the size I was planning on, I'm hoping someone knows what size fittings are on the cooler, as well as the hard line size, and what size goes into the radiator. I believe that I've read that the radiator fitting is 16mmx1.5, but I'm not sure.
I'm definitely going for the thermal bypass, our winters get pretty cold. The needle on the trans temp gauge in my cluster doesn't even move during my drive to work in the morning. I'll be doing a Yank TT3000 when I do the trans...

:It is a 3/8 INVERTED FLARE going into the cooler (if you have the same cooler as I do...40K GVW Trucool). I had a hell of a time finding a Male 3/8 inverted flare to a male (or female) -6AN . I found one however the inverted flare end was too short. Let me know if you find one. I was able to find a male 3/8 inverted flare to a Female -8AN but I didn't want to mess with it. I ended up using the barbed fittings that came with the cooler and -6 Push Lock hose and fittings until I find my fitting.
Here is the link to the fitting however the damn inverted side was too short!

I got black -6AN Pushlock hose from Jegs. I used all 25ft of it as well to go from the tranny to the cooler. Yea, with 25ft there is plenty of leftover however I haven't tucked it all up nice and neat yet so I kept all of the slack. I also turned my fittings on the tranny to face backwards. It was just a bit too tight to come out the front IMHO. Here are how the tranny fittings look:

I like the looks of the fittings and hoses on your trans...just have to find the fittings to the cooler...if there is such a fitting
Hey Krambo, are the threads going into the cooler 3/8 NPT? If so, would it be possible to use a 3/8 NPT to -6 AN fitting with some sealer on the threads going into the cooler?
And has anyone been able to verify what size the hard lines back to the trans are (3/8?), as well as the fitting into the radiator?

... 3/8 NPT will not thread in...I tried (wanna buy some nice 3/8 NPT to -6AN fittings
). You can force them in there and screw up the thread pattern if ya want to...I thought about it. What I was going to do when I get some free time was to cut about 1/4 inch off the cooler fitting so that the fitting that I linked above will work. UNLESS someone else has a link to a fitting that will work
Not sure on the stock tranny line size.

Even this might be a record for me tho. All these quotes are here for very good reasons; some good info. It would be great if some sizes are verified. At that time, maybe someone, could do a sticky that details the sizes -AN & NPT, fitting style 45* or 90*, how many, what length, what cooler if not using a TruCool 40K. I believe it would help a great deal of people. No matter the engine, or if it's N/A or F/I, how many cubes, etc. None of that matters, but there's a 60E in lots of rides; surely most are using a cooler on their trannies I hope.

How about the factory auxiliary cooler setup? The more I think about it, I like the idea of having hard lines run throughout the system. Only thing is, I already cut the return line going into the radiator, and may need to replace it if it isn't part of the kit that GM offers for the towing package auxiliary cooler kit. Anybody have any pics of their factory cooler set up? Including shots of how the aux cooler lines are run, and how the return, from the upper port in the radiator is run? That would be great!
*EDIT* After looking at it, it appears that the kit comes with the line from the radiator to the cooler, then from the cooler back to the trans, then I could sell the cooler itself as brand new, and it's less than $100

Will do, thanks again Cody
How about that Allen wrench for the t-case fork, do you have a description on that one? Is it a tamper-proof or something? (hex has a little hole in the middle?)
