Alright,Got it down to .003-.004"
Is this pattern acceptable you think? Im sure ill have to open up the backlash a little, its just so close I don't wanna mess with it.. The backlash initially with the first pic was .028'

Still looks too far to me man. What shim thickness is in there? What gears are you using? This in a 10 bolt right?

Edit- Maybe PM axis so can take a look. His word is worth much more than mine on this.

Also you may want to add a tad more oil to the paint. Should be like a chocolate sauce consistency.

Ive been wondering why my patterns wasn't coming out as well as others. I thought I have too much oil. ill shoot him over a pm. My pinion has the stock shim behind it. It is a 10 bolt, I have g2 gears 4.56 Thanks for your help bud

No problem man, I would add 0.003" at a time. Have you measure the stock shim? I asked about gears and diff because maybe someone has already setup those same gears in that same diff and you could search to see what they used. Axis has the how to thread on multiple forums and I was going to check for you if anyone did it in another one of the forums so you'd have a good starting point. You could also give that a shot.
