you are probably good then, I just can't tell you the level of anger I had when I my gear blew. It took alot of "modd'ing" energy out of me.

This vibration is at slight acceleration? Heavy? Axel wrap is under extreme TQ right? I guess the drop could set it up to happen easier...that's not my knowledge department, maybe front of the axel, IDK.

The vibration doesn't come in until mid to high torque. I've run it up in rpm/mph with no big torque and no vibration. If I accelerate in 4wd no vibration. When I start stepping on it enough to start raising the front end the vibration kicks in.

Put the spring clamps on. They helped a little. Takes a little more to get the vibration so hopefully it is in the axle wrap. Keeping my fingers crossed. The shims for the tranny should be here Monday.

Do the small tranny shim and I'd bet the acceleration vibe begins to go away.
Have you thought about Caltracs or something similar? That would definately keep axle wrap to a minimum.

Got the tranny shim in and it did help a little but the vibration is still there on hard acceleration. Didn't get any vibration by adding the shim and going 4wd. I am going to measure things again tonight but I should at least have equal angles front to rear based upon calculations.

At just cruise the truck has never ridden or drove better. I've always had just a little shudder in the passenger seat. Absolutely nothing now.

I have some shims coming for the rear now. Going to shim the tranny up a little more and lower the angle in the rear. Trying to get the working angles less than 3* with the rear pinion a little less than the front. To get what I really want I need a 1* shim for the rear. I'll probably rework a set of the shims I've ordered.
