Default Pics of trans internal... which part do I need here?

I dug into a 4l65e today and found several problems with it including burned clutches. When I dug into the input drum and removed the forward sprag and clutch plates I found what looks like a Torrington bearing and seal all burned and fused together, as well as the shaft looking like it was burned/corroded and generally trashed. Here are a couple of pics of said damage.

Now, the question is, will I be able to reuse the input drum and shaft? Did this seal failure cause an internal leak and thus the clutch failures? I was told the transmission had only 25k miles on it since new. The tranny case looks perfect inside.

Ok, I popped the seal out of the center of the shaft and I think the shaft is beyond usable. Too bad, since the input drum is mint otherwise. That flat roller bearing seized up and chewed up the shaft face, rendering it .
Oh well, it's a good excuse to install a hardened input shaft and drum, something I was thinking about anyways.

Any experts seen trouble in this area where the input shaft ends?

Do yourself a favor and spend the extra coin for some billet input and output shafts...if you search this section you'll find pics of stock and hardened shafts shattered to smithereens. Roger (AKlowriderZ71) just posted some pics of his recently...

Yea, that seems to be the big secret...FLT supplied mine when they built my Level7, and I have no idea who supplies them...

PATC (transmissioncenter dot net) is showing 300M billet 80E input shafts, but only hardened for the 60E...

TCS (Torque Converter Shop) out of Lake Havasu, AZ has 300M shafts. I bought mine from them. I even sent them my input drum and they pressed out the factory shaft, pressed in the new billet shaft and also pressed on a billet sleeve on the collar of the drum as well. Call down and ask for Rusty
