Anyone know of a way to verify the pinion gear is OK, or do I have to pull the carrier to do that? I was thinking I could rotate and feel fro drag, but not sure. Also if the carrier does have to come out to verify the pinion gear, anyone know the carrier bearing cap torque specs?

~~~REPLACE THE NUT!~~~~~ I only say this because I have had the pinion nut back off and I got to buy a new set of gears.
