o and sorry, its actually 1400 cuz the 4x4 but with a 2x4 its 700. did every truck come with a g80? cuz i have no idea what i have back there except i know 3.42s and i hate em. i can spin both tires that's all i know

You have the G80 but you need to replace it otherwise down the road it will take your nice new gears and bearings with it.

They did the gear and posi install on my 05'. I supplied everything; Eaton, 3.73's, Bearing/Install Kit and they charged me $300 for labor and install. They do some quality work.

thanks fellers. now then, what brand of gears are the strongest/best to get. i'm gonna get 4.10s. and how bout the install kit brand for that matter. keep in mind i gotta do it 2x cuz of the 4x4. pricey i know

Pyle Bro's recommends AAM gears, which are OEM gears. Thats what I have in mine and they are completely quiet. Randy's ring and pinion's install kits are good quality kits for the money. Or you could just pick up a kit from Pyle Bro's.
