Default Parking and ABS lights on dash?

What would cause the parking and ABS light on the dash to come on randomly? It turns off with the truck, and will come back on in no predictable fashion.

I can be driving and not touching the brake, and it comes on.
I can be touching the brake and it comes on.

It's more a nuisance then anything

Help.

I changed wheels and tires from OE 16" wheels to 17" Z71 wheels and tires about 6-8 months ago. This started about 3 weeks ago.

Did the overall outside diameter of the tires change?

Here's a calculator to help if you need it.

on my toyota the rear drums would where down to a point that the position of the pads would be far enough down to cause the e brake light to come on. It was my accidental way of telling I needed new brakes in the rear.

Best way to tell what's going on is to get the ABS system scanned for a code. Since the light comes on intermittently, there might not be a hard code stored in the computer and you may need to catch it when the light is on.

first check the basic, check your resevior for the master cylinder if there isnt enough fluid it will turn on the light. its probably not that but its worth a shot

also you said it turns off when you start the truck but when you drive it turns on, check your wheel speed sensors, some times they get full of grease, metal shavings, and other things. just clean them off if thats the problem.
