has anyone tried these transmissions? i talk to the guy and it seems like he knows what hes doing and is cheap, a built 4l60e 700hp garanteed transsmision with a 3600 stall converter for 1795 dol , let me know what u think....

 

First of all, I removed the link...we have 2 transmission bulders on this site paying to keep the servers operating, Outlaw is not one of them.

I purchased a 700r4 from them when they went by MAD DOG out of Florida and still haven't had a change to try it out
Personally, i'd go with one of the site sponsors because they have Proven themselves time and time again on the site. You don't have to look for someone who's used them.

 

NO NO NO!!! They are garbage!!! Back when they were Mad Dog the site was full of customer complaints! I personally knew someone that had one of their 700r4's ( pretty much non electronic 60e) was supposed to be rated to 500 and took a crap in a car with only 300 and the company pretty much said " SOL"

 

Listen to these guys I didnt...used their converter which clutch fell apart and took out the pump. Knock on wood still in there but I wouldnt do it again. I think they changed their name from Maddog to Outlaw because all the complaints.

Its back to Mad Dog now because the owner got divorced and his wife kept the business. Apparently she's trying to keep the business so he started Mad Dog back up.

I've seen a couple of them and looked over the builds and I'm not impressed.

You can't go wrong with FLT or Performabuilt IMO.

 

Im letting a local guy do my 4L65E pretty much as a favor to him to let him prove himself and his work to me. If it doesnt hold Ill be on the phone to Vince at FLT as soon as it *****. Just my 2 cents though.

 

I was just about to post up a thread like this..i found maddog on ebay and was just intrigued by their price..he gave me 1265 shipped to my door..all their upgrades are legit, but ive heard they dont do half of them or they use used parts...Im on a college budget and need something behind my 6.0 in the Tahoe because the 3-4 clutch pack is slipping..trans has 160k on it (with hd2 shift kit and servo) so i gues it was its time to go..

id love to get a FLT or something but they are pretty expensive for my budget
