Default Outlaw Transmissions?

Ive been speaking with the owner for a few days, and am considering trying one of his transmissions.

Has anyone ever heard about them?

Ive searched, and only read some pissing matches between him and a former employee, but have read good feedback about him.

He will give an unlimited mile warranty with it also, and will supply the converter. I dont have to send mine back, but of course pay the core charge...

and ideas?

I'm not posting a link, since he is not a sponsor, but its the name of the company dot com.

He said 1600. He guarantees it to 700 flywheel hp. That is also including a 2800 stall. I'll have to check on the parts list, I think I have it somewhere. The guy is also on ebay, with all positive feedback about his work too...

Let say the converter is worth $200. that makes the trans worth $1400. I find it hard to believe a trans can hold 700HP for that kind of money. If I was rating a trans to hold 700HP it would have a billet input and output shaft. That right there is almost $1000. I am sure you have heard this, but you get what you pay for.

I would strongley suggest you stay with a sponsor here , No matter which one. You will IMO be much happier with results.

Yes, the sponsors have proven to have a quality product. You may save a few bucks on the tranny from this other shop, but once you end up buying two or three of them it gets to be expensive

Save your money and dont do what I did. I bought one when they called themselves mad dog transmissions, three reasons at that time.

1. Saw three of there transmissions being shipped to switzerland on a freight truck here thought that was cool , dont know why.
2.Fancy web page good jam.
3.The free converter, which is the reason the transmission went back clutch came apart and ate the pump.

Knock on wood its held up ok but its a ticking time bomb. Im always checking the fluid and every time I get on it hard I think thats it...I already have a back up plan I will use one of our sponsor's or if built408 move's to florida thats it.

Dont be cheap on a converter either!
