Default One drive line hoop down, three to go...... (pics)

Well, I FINALLY got off my lazy *** and started building one of the four hoops I plan on installing..

The plan..

I wanted it to be nhra approved. I started with a few chucks of a hoop kit I bought from summit..
I also wanted to be able to pull it off without a bunch of crap hanging down. I welded a small section of strap, drilled and taped it.... Welding next to a half full fuel tank is my favorite....

Drive line hoop welded up, also made it slightly adjustable.. Also can see the real reason for the hoop.. 305 60 17 nittos.....

Installed with suspension completely unloaded...

From the rear unloaded..

At ride height....

This gives yea an idea how far down the thing sticks...

Looks nice dusty!! And what a purrdy Muffler...where did you get that thing from again...

On a more serious note, I know your ride height is fine but that loop the lowest hanging part of the undercarriage?

First, looks like good. But like Spoolin said about the hoop being the lowest part of the truck is that going to be a problem or is the hoop just for race day?

Second, why do you want it to be NHRA approved?

The loop is about the as low as my exhaust and charge cooler, but if It does become an issue, I'll cut an inch or two off it... The muffler is of a Dodge atom smasher...

Wilde, tires look small.

As Spoolin said, your ride height is fine but that loop hangs how far from ground? I'm 2wd, so ground clearance is always a concern.
