Default Older style 4l80 still need long fitting?

Hey guys, about to do my 80e and I know the newer style trans needs the longer fitting for the line going to the rear, I have an older style so both of mine are on the side. Do I need this longer fitting or just two regular fittings?

No just two regular short fittings on the early units.

If both fittings are at the front then it uses the short fittings (older models).

If one fitting is at the front and the other is in the middle then the middle one gets the long fitting and the front one gets the short fitting (newer models).
