Default Is it ok to remove these frame braces?

Just wondering if they are doing a whole lot of good? I'm getting ready to lower the front more and these keep hitting stuff already. I'm looking to remove these and get the trans crossmember trimmed. I assume guys that bag them to lay frame ditch them pretty quick, but I'm wondering if it will have any major affect on the handling.

These are the braces

Those braces are there to correct a chassis oscillation problem inherent to the frame geometry of these trucks. 1999 trucks and possibly more years didn't have them.
The problem occurs only under a specific set of conditions. Typically concrete highway with expansion joints that typically uplift slightly at the joints. As a certain speed at certain frequency hitting these joints, the entire front section of the frame begins to behave like a spring. Some reported the situation so violent they feared losing control.
It's kind of like every Ford lifted F-Bro truck you see bouncing down the highway due to frame flex and complimentary oscillation.
Personally, I would not remove those braces, understand why they are there.

Edit:
I also recall there being a severe shudder reported associated with the condition...

I had them on and off while stock, lowered, and lifted. Never noticed any difference without them.

James Sounds like your describing death wobble in a Jeep Wrangler. Never heard of it in these trucks.
