what do we do about the parking brake? do 3/4 ton van disc brakes just bolt to a 14b 6 lug, and then do those just "plug in" to the factory JF3 brake system my truck has?

for context, 2006 Sierra 1500 SL 4.8/3.23 G80 JF3 2wd, plans are: this rear end swap, 4in lift + 35s. Then set up to pull 2500-3k lbs almost daily.
TIA
The 3/4 Van 6 lug rotors from a van will bolt on. How ever, The Calipers will not bolt to the OBS housing.

The parking brake will not just all bolt together. You may need different cables or may need to have something made.

If you do this on a 2006 model which has disc /drum master and you add rear disc brakes, you need to use a Disc/Disc master cylinder. If not, the rear pads will drag and heat the rotors up. You will go through rear brakes really fast.

Unfortunately, It's hard to get these guys to come back and detail what they did to make there swap work.

On the 2 GMT 800, 8 lug housing. I know the 2 people that used the 6 lug axles and van rotors did not hook up the parking brake. I also know that the rotor rubbed the dust shieled because the axles are like 3/16 shorther than the 8 lug version.

My OBS 14b 9.5SF with a heavy duty cover and no brake rotors or calipers weighs 244lb for anyone interested. It is lighter than I thought.
