Default O-ring Problem

I installed my torque converter and was having problems with it locking up. It turned out to be the O-ring on the transmission shaft. I replaced it and It locked up awesome for about 50 miles. Now it's right back to slipping. Has anyone else had problems with these o-rings?

Was the O ring you used the correct one for the application, High temperature and made to work in trans fluid. Different types of O rings though they may look the same are made of material designed for trans fluid.
Example drop a trans o in brake fluid it will turn to mush. Use and o ring made to use in water in oil and it will swell. Use a brake o ring in a trans and it will swell and break down,
Just and Idea

I got the O-ring from the dealer. I'm pretty sure it was the right one, It looked just like the old one.

How sure are you that it's the o-ring, and not the hub on the TC? Just a thought. Make sure the hub isn't damaged in any way (ie. hair-line cracks).

I pulled my torque converter and the o-ring was broken again. I talked to ACC, they were very nice. They had me ship the converter back to them they are going to inspect it and check the tolerances, to make sure it's all good.

I was carefull installing it both times so I'm thinking something may not be quite right.
