Default NV3500 weak points?

Ive noticed on here that alot of you guys who have the NV3500 bash it for it breaking alot. What parts are you guys breaking? What kind of power are your setups making?

stock motor and i've blown 3rd gear out twice on 2 diff trannys. gear teeth shear off on all but 1st. the shift fork may as well be made out of play-doh. and the tailshaft has a tendancy to wobble

and dont even get me started on the jack-*** who was in charge of designing it. i've met him

I have a 2000 Silverado 4.8 with the nv3500 with 42,000 miles and it I has been pretty reliable so far. The only problem I have with it is that occasionally it pops out of 1st gear when starting out. It is obviously out of warranty and I just have not been motivated enough to have it looked at.
I just hope I don't run into any problems like Blacksilver has because I plan on keeping my truck for a while.

well i'll be the first to admit that i'm rough on it. and as long as one drives like they're driving a prizm it will be fine. but that thing is just too overpowered with the 4.8 when you get on it. i think the 4.8 is just too snappy of a motor

Blacksilver didn't the '02s come with either the nv3500 or a t-5? If so how do you tell which one you've got
