Default noise while going 30 mph

i hear a noise when i am going 30 mph and i really dont know what it is or were it is coming from i was thinking that it was the transmission but my brother told me that it wasn't that it is some where in the engine compartment

Yeah it's stock gears... But I just took it to a mechanic and said that it might be the wheel barings

wheel bearings are likely...does the noise change when you turn? does it seem to change pitch with your speed?

Kill the engine and coast down the road to eliminate the engine compartment noise, and help you find where it is coming from. A wheel bearing will of change when swerving side to side. Just be careful, you won't have power brakes.
