Take it to a professional. Not trying to be a dick, but if you don't know how to setup gears properly, take it to some one who does. You will be money ahead doing it right the first time. Not to mention the saved aggravation.

If you decide to tackle this yourself, there is an excellent write up under the stickies.

I am actually going from 3.73's to 4.56's tomorrow.

I ate up 3 sets of gears and bearings while learning to swap gears. Finally got it done but at the cost of 3 sets.

it's a tedious process especially if you haven't done them before...if you don't plan on needing the truck in a hurry and don't mind doing things over and over to get it right you can probably figure it out but as people have said, if it's off then it will wear out quickly and you'll be tearing into it again before long.

That's a great write-up above, if you want to do it yourself. If you don't have the time to risk learning it right now, I'm sure someone will either help you or put the gears in for you for pretty cheap, especially in Dallas. I had a friend who paid to get his done while he was in his college classes; the swap only ran him like $120 and was done by the time he was out for the day. If you want to learn, you've got to start somewhere, though. Just weigh your options and be smart about it.
