I have an obs 99 with a 4L60E with no 4th gear and 3rd gear will hold every now and then under light throttle. I just put in a new converter and front seal and all was good then. I am getting a converter code that is staying on. It started with just 4th then 3rd would not grab. But when I go from park to drive or reverse it feels like the something is in a bind, you have to give it more gas to get it going but it does not slip, also when it does slip if the rpm's go high enough it will make a rattle sound. So does it sound like it is time for a new trans or could it be the converter? Sorry bout the long post.

I thought about that just was not sure if it would make it not have 2 gears. The converter that is in it has about 1500 miles on it and just started messin up about 400 miles ago.

 

possibly, im guessing here. the lockup might be different, the snout could be sitting in to far and was pushing on hte pump...personally i have never heard of puttign a s10 converter in a trans. and i do believe your 60 is based off a 700r4. cause the 60 we used for the pinks240 we ended up useing a 700r4 converter with it

well no worry anymore I got rid of it tonight and got the truck in my sig. Derek I got rid of the bike tonight to. So now I have a clean slate to start working on. Now I just need to sell my cam, intake, injectors, and every other thing I have for an obs.
