nnbs 5" rear drop problems
#1
ok i got my truck lowered yesterday and i noticed a few things that have me a little concerned. when the truck was at stock hight the driveshaft had about 1" forward play to allow the u-joint to easily slip out of the yoke. but when i went to put it back in the yoke i literally had to rotate the axle upward a little and to get the u-joint back in the and had to use a decent ammount of pressure to pull it back strait. now instead of having about and 1" of play there is actually some tension. is this normal?
it sounds like the rear is making a couple popping noises when i leave a stop and i dont know its due to the problem from above or from a bad pinion angle?

sounds like a bad pinion angle. also the driveshaft may have to be shortened but i doubt that. GMFS.com is where they have a lot of dropped trucks. im doing a 4/6 soon i hope i dont run into this problem. check out the ubolts and make sure they are tight.

I have full air ride on my truck. At ride height its equivalent to about a 4/6 drop and before I set the pinion angle I got an occasional pop. It was only noticeable under load. I'd check that out like iamkeniff said.
