Default New Trans vs. Old Trans...Whats the difference?

First off, my truck is a 2002 Sierra 1500 5.3L with 4L60E transmission.

Two years ago(before I really got into working on my truck), I had to get a new transmission. The mechanic gave me the option of just another stock 4L60E, or a "rebuilt" version of the 4L60E which was a little bit more expensive. I went with the "rebuilt" one.

I would like to know the exact difference between my old one and my new "rebuilt" one. Below is the parts receipt from the mechanic of what all went into the new transmission...

Parts:
-Trans Fluid
-Master Overhaul Kit
-Torque Converter
-2-4 Band
-Bushing Kit
-Washer Kit
-Forward Clutch Drum
-Complete Pump Assembly
-Updated Beast Reaction Shell
-EPC Solenoid
-Updated valve body plate harden seats
-Updated alum, Piston change over from plastic
-Valve Body Update TCC Regulator Valve
-Updated Oversized Pressure Regulator Kit
-Complete Planet Gear Assembly with Ring Gear

So can anyone tell me the advantages of this "rebuilt" trans? Will it perform any better than a pure stock one?

Sorry for the length of the post. Just trying to get some insight...thanks in advance!
