was their a space between the flywheel and verter when you got the trans bolted up if not you did not have the vert in all the way and when you, bolted the trans it pushed the verter into the pump and when you started it boom they broke it happens.

When I did mt last torque converter swap, it took awhile before trans pumped the fluid and would move. we are talking like a full min of nothing. but I did not pull a cooler line like Vince said too....
How long has the truck ran for?

I dont know, I wouldn't add any until it pumps the stuff in the pan down below the add mark.
You are sure there was a gap between the Flex plate and torque convereter with the bellhousing bolts in and tight?

I can tell you one thing, Vince knows a HELL of alot more about trannys than I do, go with what he said. lol
I personally would run it for a few more seconds. but thats just me, and I like the sound of crap braking because I'm doing something dumb.

one other thing I'd check before pulling the damn thing out, I'd pull the pan and make sure there is a filter in there and it is fully seated.....

im confused with the gap thing...i bolted up the tranny and i know that to make sure its seated well there has to be a gap...now when i put the converter bolts on it brough it forward until the bolts were nice n tight...so i dont get how there would be a gap :S

That is the way it should be. as long as the gap wasn't to big, ther is a spec, but I'm not sure what it is.
I'm going with something else is causing the problem......

Yup, I almost did that on my T/A. Another silly question...you did plug in the connector right? If not it either sound slike there isn't enough fluid or a bad pump. You definately need to pull the pressure line and see if it is moving fluid.
