Default New Torque Converter

Hey guys, im a newb on this site but i got a question. Ive got a 2005 Gmc sierra reg cab 2wd truck. its got the 5.3l with the 4L60E trans, an 4.10's in the rear. my torque converter clutch is slippin an i gotta get a new one. What stall would yall recommend. it got a comp 525/532L 216/220D cam. Figured id bump the stall up a little since ive gotta replace TC anyway. I was lookin at the TCI 242938 torque converter, what yall think? Also im not sure but would i have to re tune for this? thanks yall.

You can choose the stall speed for that model i posted either 2600-2800 or 3000-3200.... The street manors of that TC are great! More than likely you will not need a tune update if you go with the 2600-2800, the 3000-3200 might... Just really depends on how your current tune is setup...

you sure it is not the tranny slipping instead of the TC? CircleD is a sponsor on here and i believe they do free shipping for forum members. Their TCs are top notch!

yep. trans shifts nice an hard then at about 45mph the TC clutch engages and dis engages constantly, used a gm tech 2 to read trans data. my trans cooler busted in my radiator, which got coolant in trans. trans is ok but TC has been actin up since. The TC clutches dont have alot of clutch material on them to begin with, so add coolant to it an it slips like crazy an wears what little there is off.
