Default new stall ideas anyone?

I have a 4l80 in my 02 scsb and I have a triple disk PI 3800 converter right now. I know I am going to need to flush my old converter as I noticed the fluid had a very metallic look to it and the bottom of my pan was black. Im considering a new converter but wanted to see what you guys are using, whats holding up well and so on. I have only used PI converters on my 60's and 80's just thought I would have an open mind as to what else is out there. I am replacing the tranny with an 05 tranny if that makes a difference, I have already put the trans go hd2 kit in it. I will aslo add this is behind a lq9 with ls6 stage 2 heads, the new edelbrock ls xt intake, and a 230/236.591/.601 @110 and 4.10 gears I am open to stall speed recommendations. Im not so concerned with street manners, this is not a daily driven truck

Look into the Edge converters. I've got a phone number there too if you want, and something in a 4000 stall speed.

edge...that's one I was considering too.

Edge = $585
Circle D = $825 (single disk)
PI = $725 (single disk)

Not sure why you would change, if you have had good luck with the VIG. but... I would just send it in for a refresh and bump up the stall a bit. Would be alot cheaper than a brand new one from anywhere.

I may call PI and check their turn around time and price.
