Thats my point, Hot High pressure water does wonders. Most pressure washers have the ability to also mix in degreasers as well. At least my old mans does.

Don't get so offended

Go to walmart and buy some oven cleaner, not the cheap stuff. Hose it down with oven cleaner and let is sit for a little bit then wash it off with a hose. That is what I have used to remove undercoating from my mustang.

Another idea is to call up a mobile media blaster to come media blast the frame where it sits. They usually charge by the hour, but from the looks of it it should probably take less than an hour. IMO Media blasting will leave the frame in the best possible condition for paint.

From my experience with media blasting and old grease is it is slow go. It removes it slower than it removes rust. It kinda smears it and this coating has similar consistancies to old caked on grease, or a little softer maybe.
If you do the hot pressure washer deal a tyvex suit and faceshield woud be a must but with the hot water you may not have to get very close. Might could just hit it from a distance while it melts it off.
Why don't you just test some things out. Go get 1 can of good Carb cleaner, brake cleaner, and Oven cleaner and test them out?
