Update on the install. I just could not rest until I called bilstein and asked about how tight to compress front shock's upper rubber bushings.
He says for about 1mm of rubber protruding from under the washers. Or run the nut down until everything is touching and add 5 turns.
I checked mine and I ended up backing off 1 turn.
The GM OE bushings are idiot proof with the steel spacer or stop. Just crank until the nut stops. Mine looked rough so I went with the Bilsteins.

I just ordered a set from Shock warehouse for my 2500 HD. If you type in " istayed" for discounts they will give an additional 5%. So a set was 194.20 shipped..........pretty good deal considering Summit gets 248.00 + shipping.

are the part numbers the same for a truck with a 3" lift on the front?
I have cranked aftermarket keys just to level me out. my rear stock height was higher than any buddies Z71s we measured it to, at least an inch on the stock tires.
Heck, a buddy had 285's to my 265's, and I was still higher...odd?
Idk how many miles are on mine, but replacing them couldnt hurt, and if it softens my ride...GREAT. Im riding in a wooden wheeld wagon right now...

I would call Bilstein on that one, they have good customer service from my experience. I know they have different shocks for suspension lifted applications, but I do not know if that includes cranked torsion bars.

Replaced my shocks yesterday and went for a test drive. My initial ride impression is that they feel smoother over small road bumps and feel the same as stock on larger bumps. Rebound dampening seems to be better controlled as well. For the front shocks I reused the OEM rubber grommets and washers as they were larger than the Bilstein supplied rubber grommets and still in like new condition. My next road trip should give me a better indication of how these shocks handle but so far I'm happy.
