Default Need some quick help...

My brother just stopped by and commented how his trans is shifting pretty hard from 1-2. I checked his fluid and it is overfull by a few qts. The line is about 2.5" above the hot mark on a cold transmission.

Heres the problem, is there anyway to drain the excess out without dropping the pan? The car does not have an aux cooler, and I don't have the time or tools to drop the pan right now.

Thanks.

Car is a '99 Z28 w/ 4L60E. Basically stock with Servo's, Tune, slp lid, etc. Stock Trans line pressure.

I know I'm being impatient, but I'm trying to get this fixed while i've got a little time.

i've pulled the line going into the radiator and started the truck to drain extra fluid.

I got it fixed I think. I dug around in the garage and found an old syphon pump and some line. Stuffed it down the dipstick tube and sucked about 2qts out, it's still about a qt on the high side, which really isn't a biggie for these transmissions, so I'm not worried about it anymore.

Thanks guys.
