ok for the past couple of days my transmission hasn't wanted to go in second gear. it just slips bad then it'll go into third. So last night i was pulling into a parking lot to watch the ufc fight and the tranny just gave out. Won't go in any gear..... i think its the clutches.

is there any sign to look at to see if it is? i drained the tranny fluid about two weeks ago.

 

drop the pan, but you should be able to tell by just looking at the dipstick.

 

well i just undid the tranny lines and there was nothing coming out

it'll be dark right? if it was the clutches

 

yes, It'll be dark and smell burnt

 

mine is still pretty red and smells like tranny fluid.

was also thinkin it might be a solenoid or something. bc what i dont get is how it went out all of the sudden, just pulling in a parking lot.

 

if nothing was coming out, i bet pump failure.

 

thats what i was thinking...... but i just don't see it going out so quickly and causing second not to wrk for a couple days
